This cozy kitchen packs ample storage while maintaining its cleanliness and class.

A simple two-seater island, topped with a tasteful, durable and economical laminate benchtop, features a generous overhang on the exterior sides, lending itself to the dining room beyond. A quality, contemporary custom Engineered Stone benchtop was chosen for the balance of the kitchen worktops.

The imported Japanese-style sink and mixer tap were supplied by the client, and to integrate them we carefully carved curves in the benchtop to perfectly follow the sink perimeter. A judicious tiled splashback ties in the tone of the floors and light-coloured bricks beyond the kitchen window.

Floor to ceiling cabinetry was a must-have in this Modern Kitchen spec. Warm LED strip downlights illuminate the benches under the overhanging cupboards. Push-to-open doors feature above the benches, while classic Archant Siena handles in Brushed Anthracite decorate the drawers and cupboards below. This configuration is consistent with great ergonomic design.

Two valuable additions are the slim-line vertical drawers. A Vauth-Sagel ‘VS SUB’ side pull-out cabinet with Premea baskets features beside the integrated oven, storing oft-used bottles for immediate access. Adjacent the fridge, a deep, full-height Vauth-Sagel ‘VS TAL’ pull-out cabinet makes the absolute most of a thin, awkward space.
