Distinction

Blessed with an expansive feature window to the orchard outside, the Distinction kitchen is refined in its look and substance. A two-tone palette was chosen for its elegance and to match the existing black joinery. The custom black marble Engineered Stone island, with dual waterfall ends, is both a monument and a family hub. Modern black Italian pull-out tapware and generous Bowl & ¾ Duro Granite sink seem to have been hewn from the island itself.

White marble Engineered Stone benchtops grace each of the pantry, cooking area and laundry. The feature window doubles as an open-feel splashback for the family-sized gas stove. Below the benches, minimalistic ‘Edge Straight’ handles in Antique Bronze accent the neatly-uniform drawers and cupboards. Above, clean push-to-open cupboards conceal ample storage and an integrated rangehood. The addition of a bulkhead above the overhead cupboards carries the kitchen all the way to the roof, while custom negative detail lends definition.

The walk-in pantry and laundry rooms are more understated, but retain genuine, quality materials and essential contrasting details. Complete with customisable shelves, the pantry is a practical, open space. The Distinction laundry makes the most of a galley configuration, and at the sink, trades black for utilitarian stainless steel.
