Dignitary

The Dignitary project offers an expertly-balanced tri-tone colour scheme and features all the hallmarks of a quality custom-designed Modern Kitchen.

Custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and drawers were employed in two timeless textures – Laminex Melteca Bliss Cinder and Melteca Rural Oak. The tones of these hardy materials bring contrast and cohesion amongst the adjacent white walls and oak-style flooring. Negative detail was added for definition against the kitchen bulkhead.

For access to cupboards and drawers, Modern Kitchens recommended an ergonomic combination of integrated black Ezi-Venice handles below working height and push-to-open doors above. A single black Sarnen D-handle from Archant actuates the folding food-cupboard doors. Inside, white adjustable shelving and heavy-duty open-faced drawers keep it simple.

The island is decked in ‘Calacatta Gold Light’ Engineered Stone, inset with a generous, Italian ‘Elleci TEKNO’ Black Granite sink & drainer and sophisticated black Elementi Ion mixer. A custom powder-coated steel structure supports the breakfast bar and conceals strip-lighting that makes this seating area visually inviting. Extras include convenient power points, a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer, and a proper hot plate hewn from the benchtop itself.

The cooking area benchtop is made of the same exceptional Engineered Stone as the island, and incorporates a slimline Westinghouse 60cm Ceramic Cooktop. Built into the surrounding cabinetry are an Electrolux oven set, microwave and appliance nooks, covert power plugs, fitted fridge, and bin drawer.
