Oceanic

A traditional, early-Georgian colour palette defines this Modern Kitchen, with white marble, copper accents and deep aegean-blue cabinetry. The effect is dramatic and dignified.

Sarnen copper handles from Archant grace the numerous cupboards and drawers. A standard gooseneck mixer in brushed copper stands proudly atop a black Mercer Duro Granite sink. Custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and precisely-carved benchtops trace the multifaceted geometry of the room. Pacific Quartz ‘Calacatta Gold Light’ Engineered Stone was chosen for all the work surfaces and splashbacks, focussing light and attention to where the magic happens.

The wrap-around cooktop splashback was carefully crafted to allow continuity of the material’s natural grain. The impression is that of a single, larger, hewn block of marble, spotlit by rangehood downlights. Far more discreet is the slimline rangehood itself, whose covert steel pillar blends easily into the muted grey upper wall panels.

With a wide breakfast bar, neatly integrated appliances and ample storage, the Oceanic project is as functional as it is handsome.
